Dax Tribute!

I was pokin' around and wondering what else I should do around here to be a bit more active XD I noticed Dax's corner so I figured I'd draw a pic of this guy since he's the mascot and all... and to give my pencil colouring skillz a bit more exercise. lol grin

(I recently got loaned a set of prismacolours from a friend and seem to be having fun with them 8D)

(I hope i did him justice !_! I sorta just waded around to find random art people had done of him for refs so...yeah XD) I have no idea about his personality @_@ but I guess this is Dax caught in a moment of merry, youthful exuberance.

Hope ye enjoy! Pirates are always full of win, especially when they are weiding brass spyglasses.

hehe brilliant! I don't think he's been drawn in a while and I'm sure he appreciates it ~_^

I love love LOVE his boots. You did a great job drawing them at an angle like that.

Ahh I love how bright and energetic your pencil coloring is! glad you're having fun with them, lol hope to see more of it around here 8D I agree that the shape and form of his boots is just awesome in this, great job!

Awesome rendition of Dax! I've always felt slightly guilty that I've never drawn him, but now you truly put me to shame. XD As with your gift art, I LOVE your colored pencil work! That's some classy coloring. <3

Haha thanks guys X3 I still consider myself a novice with pencils though, I've spent the rest of my time colouring in photoshop @_@ I'm glad it seems to be starting off well though! lol

Boots are fun 8D although I can see now his legs might be a bit long in comparison to the rest of his body... doh >_<

I know this post is quite a few months old, but I really do love this image! The way you handled the folds is great, and his wiley expression has so much character in it. Those eyes are stunning as well!
